Updated 5 January 2012
For all those bringing their cars to Jersey we have arranged a conference booking facility on Condor Ferries high speed catamarans, who are delighted to be working with us on the 2012 Conference.
The 2012 spring/summer schedule is now available to take bookings for the period of our conference. If you are contemplating making a holiday around the conference and want to bring your car – then you may now view the summer timetable with all the various offers they are making to clients.
By way of background information, for 2012, they have introduced to the market place an “early booking concept” per the below comments from Jonathan Godson, Sales Manager ina recent email to clarify what we originally believed was going to be a “discount” on the fares charged..
“As a Channel Island company serving markets travelling in both directions, Condor Ferries is committed to supporting island life through the provision of a fair and transparent pricing policy. This allows us to provide year round transport links and offer genuine value for money for all parties. In order to maintain this strategy it’s not possible for us to offer bespoke discounts for individual groups, tours or parties. This sort of ad hoc discounting would not only destabilise our pricing strategy, it would undermine the value of the product and of course undermine revenue vs. our budget expectation. It would also leave us open to constant requests for bigger and ever bigger discounts leading to price rises to allow for such discounting and ultimately a vicious spiral of higher prices and higher discounting.
So, by following this‘level-playing-field’ / ‘every-day-fares’ strategy what we do now have in place is standard pricing supported by promotional priced travel based upon the duration of travel time (e.g. 5 day short-breaks) and also time of booking (e.g. Apex fares more than 90 days out).
These promotional fares are applicable to all their standard period return fares, but also their great value durational short break value fares of Superbreak (up to 2 days away), Supersaver(up to five days away) and Saver(up to ten days away)– the latter two of which are ideal for the Conference period.
They anticipate a lead in price for Thursday / Monday, from just £230 return for two adults travelling with a car and staying 5 days ashore on Jersey. (NB Prices subject to change)
To book either simply call Condor Ferries - 0845 609 1026, or log on to the 41 Club web page – http://www.condorferries.co.uk/specialoffers/Club41
They believe this showcases the special offers they have, and points members in the right direction on ‘how to book’.
